I was born and raised in San Antonio and attended Judson ISD from elementary
to high school. I graduated from Judson HS in 2005 and accepted an
AFROTC scholarship to Angelo State University. I was very active in
ASU's ROTC Det. 847. In 2004 I earned my private pilots license at
Stinson Municipal Airport and continued to fly in San Angelo with a program
through Goodfellow AFB. Shortly after my first year of college I had a
change of heart and decided that I wanted to achieve my long time goal and
become a high school social studies teacher. I moved back to San Antonio where
I attended Palo Alto College to complete my basic courses. In the Spring of
2008 I transferred to Texas State University and graduated with my Bachelor's
of history in December 2010.
I am incredibly close to my family and friends and am always with
them when I'm not at school. I love to be outside and currently play on a city
soccer, volleyball and softball league. When I'm not at practice or at a game
you can find me kayaking, camping, hiking, hunting or fishing.
I was blessed on March 26, 2011, that was my first day at FTA and I am so
grateful to be here. I am very fortunate to work with such a wonderful faculty
and staff and of course an awesome group of students! I can't wait to see what
the future holds for all of the incredibly intelligent and talented students
here at FTA!
