I grew up in Devine Texas [just down 35 South]. After graduating, I moved
to Galveston, Texas, where I attended Texas A&M University at
Galveston. I was married in August of 1986 and in the years to
follow we had two daughters. As my daughters began school I decided
to return to school and get my certification to teach. I
started teaching in 1996 and found my way to Harlandale in 2001.
I finished my Masters in Educational Administration in December of
During my years of education I have taught 8th
grade Earth Science, 6th grade General Science, AP Biology, Chemistry, Physics
and IPC [Integrated Physics & Chemistry]. Since I started at FTA I
have taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, IPC and TAKS prep classes.
As the Science Department has grown my job at Tejeda has evolved as well.
This year I will be teaching Physics & IPC.
As a member of the "Harlandale Family" I believe I work with the best
faculty & staff and the students with the greatest potential. I
